Happy New Year!

We finally have snow, which means sledding at Sugar House Park.  It also means we need to keep our sidewalks clear of snow and ice.  You can read more about the ordinance and learn about the responsibility of the resident.  If you are able please help those neighbors that may need assistance in clearing their walks as well.

Sugar House is full of hidden gems.  To me Fairmont Park is one of those places.  My mother has wonderful stories of riding her bike to Fairmont Park to swim in the outdoor pool, saunter over to the Forest Dale clubhouse for ice cream and a walk along the witches trail on a dare.

Salt Lake City is finally giving a bit more attention to Fairmont Park in upgrades to the playground equipment and improvements to the soccer field scheduled for 2015.  The SHCC is submitting a grant proposal to help upgrade the pond parameter and walkway to further improve this park and visitor experience.  We are very lucky in Sugar House to live in such close proximity to the amount of open space we enjoy.  Few communities can boost so much park space in such a small area.
