I-80 Bridge Joints Renovated State Street to 1300 South

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will repair and improve joints at nine bridge locations on I-80 between State Street and 1300 E. from South Salt Lake to Sugar House. This work will take place at night between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. If needed the contractor may work on Sundays during daytime hours.

This project is scheduled to begin mid-June 2019 with work expected to be complete by late-September of 2019.

EXPECTED IMPACTS

During construction you can expect bright lights, noise, dust and delays with traffic reduced to one travel lane in various sections during working hours. Most of the activity will take place between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. nightly, with new rapid set concrete in place and curing for the rest of the work period.
