SHCC Land Use and Zoning Agendas February 2020

Monday February 10 at The Sugar House Legacy 1212 East Wilmington Avenue 5th Floor Fairmont Room

6 p.m. The Twenty Ones  – We have received a Design Review application for a project at 2029 South 2100 East.  A project at 2029 S 2100 East consists of two buildings running  east to west along 2100 South.  The north building  is a 3-story residential building that includes studios, and 1 & 2 bedroom units total 77 units.  The south building is a 2-story mixed-use commercial and residential building with 22 residential units including studios, and 1 & 2 bedroom units.  There are 99 residential units in total.  The ground floor has 16,000 SF of retail space. Details of the proposal are here.

7 p.m. Allen Park – Continuing Discussion A developer has an option to buy the park and we have seen a sketch of what might be proposed.  Some people want it to remain open space, and preserve the art and the history this area has been to the neighborhood.  Others might accept some housing, as long as it keeps the integrity of what it has been.  The riparian corridor running right down the middle (Emigration Creek) makes anything a challenge.

Wednesday February 18 5-7 p.m.  Salt Lake City will hold an  Open House at the Jewett Center Atrium at Westminster College

regarding the addition to The Jewett Center for Performing Arts at Westminster College. The building addition known as Gillmor Hall will be a 100-person recital hall and dance performance studio housed in a triangular-shaped building located on the south-east side of the existing Jewett Center.  You can view the plans here, and make a comment on our website.
