29 Dec SH LUZ REPORT 2021 JANUARY
Posted at 10:23h in LUZ Reports, Land Use & Zoning
Cemetery Master Plan was approved by the City Council. The Cemetery Master Plan would serve as a framework for Salt Lake City to address three primary purposes: 1.) to guide the preservation and management of the Cemetery; 1.) to expand access to and enhance appropriate uses of the cemetery as a multi-use facility; and 3.) to address the future financial sustainability of the Cemetery.
The City Council adopted an ordinance amending the City’s Demolition Ordinance on November 17. The proposed changes are intended to streamline the process for demolitions, remove the requirement for a replacement use, landscape plan and bond, and provide clarity to the enforcement process for boarded buildings. In addition to adopting the ordinance, the council adopted legislative intents requesting the administration complete a study to include Police and Fire services in the boarded/vacant building fee, review the potential of implementing a disproportionate fee schedule for vacant buildings that cause a disproportionate cost to municipal services and study the possibility of appropriating funding for the purchase of nuisance properties to be rehabilitated and set aside as affordable housing. The Council also requested the ordinance be reviewed in two years to make sure it is working well.
Here is the link to the Child Care Text Amendments. It is still time to provide a comment for the Planning Commission. Fill out the comment form after reading the proposal.
Shared Housing (formerly known as SROs) will be discussed and probably approved by the City Council at end of January or early February. You still have time to send me a comment.
