In December 2018, the Planning Commission had a briefing on the Sugar House Business District Design Standards http://www.slcdocs.com/Planning/Planning%20Commission/2018/00210Memo.pdf There was an OPEN HOUSE on Wednesday, March 6 from 5-7 p.m. at the new Sugar House Fire Station #3. The station is located at 2425 South 900 East, next to the Forest Dale Club House. Come and visit the second net zero fire station in the country while you are here.
A letter will be going to Salt Lake City Planning about the SHBD Design Standards very soon. The Sprague Library will be renovating. They will close March 28, and re-open April 28 at the old Sugar House Fire Station #3 near the Fairmont Aquatic Center and Streetcar Stop on Sugarmont. This temporary location will have four computers, a small collection of materials, and hold pickups. Hold pickups will be temporarily unavailable from March 28-April 28. The renovation is expected to take 12-18 months, depending on what they find when they dig into the bones of the library.
Salt Lake Costume The project is progressing right on schedule. Most of the work is being done on the inside right now. Drywall will begin next week and the brick has started on the east side. Project should be completed by the end of August.
University Health on the Shopko block is due to be completed about August and open in the fall.
