Jolley Pharmacy applied to put solar panels on their roof, and I gave verbal approval to the city.
1249 East Crystal Avenue filed a petition to request an alley vacation.  We put flyers out in the neighborhood and had neighbors come to our June LUZ meeting or send me an email.  We got quite a number of responses, everyone was in favor of this closing.  I sent a favorable response to the city. However, we have learned that because this alley abuts another alley, all the neighbors adjacent to either alley must agree.  The city will handle that process.

AGENDA AUGUST 21 LUZ MEETING FOREST DALE CLUB HOUSE
2375 S 900 EAST 6 P.M.
1316 Downington Place Downington Place LLC, the property owner is requesting that the City amend the zoning map for the property located 1316 E. Downington Avenue. The property is currently zoned R- 1/7000 – Single Family Residential and has two existing twin-home units that are currently vacant and boarded up. The applicant is requesting to amend the zoning map designation of the property to RMF-30 – Low Density Multi-Family residential in order to construct a new three-unit townhome development on the property.
1701 S 1100 East project  This is the old Salt Lake Costume building, and we have a request to renovate the building into 19 apartment units. (Plans include keeping the historic sign).
These last two projects will be on the Open House for August 17, and on our SHCC Land Use Committee meeting August 21.    Both projects are on our website, and you can review the details and provide comments to me directly from there.
The LUZ meeting will be held at the Forest Dale Club House 2375 South 900 East.
UPDATES:
Sugarmont Apartments- Boulder Ventures – Water line on McClelland is complete.  Construction well under way. Estimated completion Late 2018.
Mecham Dixon Building Development – Right now plans are on hold.  Landscaping is complete and they are renting the space to Boulder Ventures to use as a place to stage their project.
Legacy Village – on Wilmington Avenue -Woodbury Corp Grand Opening is August 17.  They are about 10% occupied. Senior Residential.
Springhill Suites – Woodbury Corp On Wilmington Avenue, construction is beginning.
1000 East/2100 South Apartments 170 units in progress. Estimated completion fall of 2018.
Shopko Site The Planning Commission has approved plans and demolition and construction are in process.  Completion summer of 2019.
CVS Drug Store 2100 South and 1300 East  Construction is beginning, completion Spring 2018
Cowboy Partners Townhouse Development 6th East and Wilmington Demolition is complete and construction is imminent. Completion Spring 2018.
Sugar  House Fire Station #3  Construction has begun at 2425 South 900 East.  Expected completion is Spring of 2018.  The Arts Council is working on deciding public art for the project.
