We have a petition for a conversion of an existing detached garage into an Accessory Dwelling Unit at 617 Driggs Avenue. The structure is located to the rear of the house on the property. Here is the NOTICE we received from Salt Lake City. This is a conditional use, and the approval criteria is listed on the notice.
There is no narrative with the application. It appears that the current garage is right on the alley which is east of the home, and that the parking for the tenants of the house will be on a parking pad between the house and the existing garage. There is a parking spot on the street for the occupant of the ADU. Here are the plans for the project.
This is the SHCC Letter to the Planning Commission about this project. We have learned that this will be on the April 27 meeting of the Salt Lake City Planning Commission. Here is the Planning Commission Staff Report. The project was approved on April 27, 2022.
